Class Information & Descriptions:

Ballet Foundations for Adults (60 min)
Wednesdays 19:00
In-person: €23 per person
Monthly Classpack: 4 classes €80
Minimum 3 students / maximum 8 students
You wouldn’t build a house without a solid foundation. The same is true of ballet technique.
Most adult ballet classes teach recreational ballet: just the steps and names of movements. The technical foundation of ballet is entirely skipped over in favor of providing a "fun workout." Unfortunately, this puts students on a path to learning an imitation of ballet that never quite looks like the ballet of their teachers and those that have been taught properly and systematically.
Ballet Foundations is an all-levels group class designed for ballet students to build or rebuild their fundamental technique. BalletPrep® Method helps ballet students build solid technique without guessing whether they're doing it right, and without years of trial and error. In this group environment, we will utilize BalletPrep Method's specialized exercises to work together meticulously to hone and strengthen all the essential elements needed for ballet, with precise, structured guidance throughout.
A Supplement to Your Regular Ballet Training
Ballet Foundations can be taken alongside your regular ballet classes as a dedicated space to strengthen the technical foundations that traditional classes may not have time to address. Students will return to their ballet classes empowered with knowledge and refined technique. They will know what to do and how to do it so that their muscles are working properly. The corrections will start making sense.
This class is for you if you are:
  • A beginner who wants to learn ballet in a coherent, structured way.
  • An experienced student who wants to strengthen and refine your technique, receive pedagogically sound personalized corrections, and correct long-standing habits.
  • A student who wants personalized feedback and a space where questions about posture, alignment, and movement actually get answered.
Whether you are starting from scratch or looking to refine your skills, this group class offers access to the kind of structured, foundational ballet education traditionally only available within ballet academies.

Ballet Foundations for Teens (12+) (60 min)

Fridays 19:00

In-person: €23 per person
Monthly Classpack: 4 classes €80
Minimum 3 students / maximum 8 students

You wouldn’t build a house without a solid foundation. The same is true of ballet technique.

Many children begin ballet in recreational classes where they learn steps, positions, and the names of movements, but the underlying technical foundations are often overlooked in favor of playtime, childcare, and a social environment. As a result, students can spend years learning an imitation of ballet without developing the physical understanding and coordination needed to progress into more serious training.

Even in formal ballet academies, students can sometimes get lost or left behind in large classes. Those who develop more slowly, start training later, or don’t naturally possess the physical characteristics that may come more easily to other students can struggle to keep up, often leaving little time to address the fundamentals they need most.

Ballet Foundations is designed to fill that gap. Through BalletPrep® Method's carefully structured exercises based on classical Vaganova ballet pedagogy, students develop the essential building blocks of ballet technique from the beginning: alignment, coordination, placement, turnout, footwork and agility, weight transfer, and fundamental movement patterns.

A Supplement to Regular Ballet Training

Ballet Foundations can be taken alongside regular ballet classes as a dedicated space to strengthen the technical foundations that may not always have time to be fully addressed in a traditional class. Students return to their regular ballet training with a clearer understanding of what they are doing, how to do it correctly, and how their bodies should be working. Corrections start to make sense, and students become more confident in applying them.

This class is for students who are:

  • Beginners who want to learn ballet in a clear, structured way and build the right foundation from the start.
  • Students already training in a ballet school who want to strengthen and refine their technique, better understand corrections, and work on problem areas that may need more individual attention.
  • Students who want supplemental ballet training, personalized feedback, and a space where questions about posture, alignment, turnout, and movement can actually be answered.
  • Students who started ballet later or feel that they are struggling to keep up with the curriculum of their ballet classes.

Whether you are starting from scratch or already training in a ballet school, this class gives you dedicated time to develop the technical foundation that will support your continued progress.

Ballet Foundations for Children (5+) (60 min)

Saturdays 12:30

In-person: €23 per person
Monthly Classpack: 4 classes €80
Minimum 3 students / maximum 8 students

You wouldn’t build a house without a solid foundation. The same is true of ballet technique.

Many children's "ballet classes" offer merely recreational activity where children learn steps, positions, and the names of movements, but the underlying technical foundations are often overlooked in favor of playtime, childcare, and a social environment. As a result, students can spend years learning an imitation of ballet without developing the physical understanding and coordination needed to progress into more serious training.

The problem is that these ballet class offerings aren't forthcoming about this fact, and your child can spend years learning what you thought was ballet but was actually nothing more than expensive playtime. It's a shame because ballet in these formative years can give a child a rare ability for graceful movement, elite body organization, flexibility, and muscle control that can give them unique physical advantages throughout their lives. This type of education is rarely accessible to children outside of formal ballet academies, until now.

BalletPrep® offers children true pedagogical ballet instruction. Through BalletPrep Method's carefully structured exercises based on classical Vaganova ballet pedagogy, students develop the essential building blocks of ballet technique from the beginning: alignment, coordination, placement, turnout, footwork and agility, weight transfer, and fundamental movement patterns.

Pilates Reformer for Ballet Dancers (55 min)

Fridays 18:00
In-person: €33 per person
Monthly Classpack: 4 classes €110
Private session: €65
Minimum 2 students / maximum 3 students

That’s right, ballet dancers! Finally, there is a Pilates Reformer class designed specifically for your needs! No more working the wrong muscles and trying to turnout when the Pilates teacher is not looking. Designed for ballet dancers of all levels, this class combines the resistance and versatility of the Reformer with a ballet-specific approach to help you develop the strength, control, alignment, and stability that your dancing demands.

We focus on the muscles and movement patterns that support ballet technique, working on everything from core and pelvic stability to turnout, foot and ankle strength, balance, and postural alignment. The Reformer provides resistance and support that allows us to isolate and strengthen these areas with precision, while developing greater awareness and control of how your body moves.

Rather than simply making you stronger, the goal is to develop useful strength for ballet, which supports your technique instead of working against it. You’ll learn how to engage the right muscles, stabilize your body, and maintain proper alignment while moving through the positions and actions your dancing requires.

Whether you are looking to improve your technique, build ballet-specific strength and flexibility, or simply support your regular ballet training, this small group class gives you the rare opportunity for personalized attention and a dedicated space to work on the physical foundations behind your dancing.
